Our Roots

Joining Lives While Building… began in 2018. JLWB was founded to be a new beginning, a hope for those in need as well as a vehicle for volunteers to commit their time and resources towards making a difference in the lives of others. JLWB strives to serve while reflecting Christ’s love for all people regardless of their circumstances. We help individuals transform their lives to their greatest potential while reaffirming their self-esteem and value as well as understanding the Father’s love and purpose for them.

Making A Difference

Joining Lives While Building...Community

We recognize that while Minnesota has a wealth of resources, a population that is strong and resilient and that is community driven.  There are nearly 1 out of every 9 people in MN living in poverty. Also in 2015 there were 2383 youth transitioning out of foster care without a forever family or support system to walk along side them thru one of the largest transitions in ones life time. -(childtrends.org)

We want to help build a community that will serve Minnesotans living in poverty. With our organization’s mission always in mind, We strive to find new strategies for engaging and serving the community. We believe this can be accomplished thru our focus on transportation, mentorship, job training, education and homes.

Joining Lives While Building...Cars

At JLWB, we are dedicated in addressing the transportation issue that many low income families face. This is no easy feat, but through coalition organizations referring families in need of car maintenance and hard working volunteers, we believe we can facilitate progress in this area. Our dedicated volunteers give hands on training to the vehicle owner on how to maintenance their vehicle to keep it in working order. We are always striving to make a difference, and we believe Benjamin Franklin said it best, "Tell me and I will Forget, teach me and I may remember, involve me and I will LEARN."
